William M. Joy, 33, of East Haddam, beloved husband of Rebekah (Simmons) Joy, passed away Wednesday Nov. 1st at his home. Born April 1, 1990 in Middletown he was the son of Clay M. Joy and Mary-Helen Reedy of East Haddam. William was a lifelong resident of East Haddam and worked as a residential carpenter. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, and fishing as well as playing the drums. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor and especially his “Dad jokes”. Besides his parents and wife Rebekah he is survived by his son Logan Joy of East Haddam, his brother Richard joy of Hebron, his aunts, Beth Rittman, Meg Gruszczek, and Shirley Bombaci, his uncle Paul Rittman, close cousins Ashley and Justin and many other extended family and friends. Friends may call at the Spencer Funeral Home 112 Main St. East Hampton on Saturday Nov. 11th from 12 noon until 2:00PM. Burial will be private.
