Stanley A Spencer

Stanley A. Spencer, 86, of East Hampton, widower of the late Helene Diane (Francisco) Spencer died peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Wednesday Oct. 20, 2021. Born Oct. 29, 1934 in Middletown he was the son of the late Lafayette and Stella Spencer. Stanley proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. He had been employed by the Ct State Police and retired from the State of CT DEEP. Stanley enjoyed racing stock cars all around the Northeast. He is survived by his sons Scott Spencer and Steven Spencer both of East Hampton, his daughter Sheryl Dolittle and her husband David of Middlefield, and his five beloved grandchildren Abby, Jacob, Hannah, Ethan and Sydney. He was predeceased by his sister Eleanor Veile. Friends may call at the Spencer Funeral Home 112 Main St. East Hampton on Monday Oct. 25th from 9:00AM until 11:00AM. Burial will follow in the family plot in Union Hill Cemetery in Middle Haddam. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation at www.t2t.org  or Protector of Animals at www.poainc.org.
