Sharon Joan (Warner) Visintainer, 84, of East Hampton, beloved wife of Philip Visintainer passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, October 11th in Middlesex Hospital. Born Feb.27, 1941 in Middletown, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Alma (Comstock) Warner, and was raised in Hadlyme until moving at the age of 12 to East Hampton. Sharon had worked in the banking industry as a proofer for many years. She also had been employed at Pratt & Whitney, and then in the office of Legal Services in Middletown. She and Phil were life long active members of the Haddam Neck Covenant Church in East Hampton, where she served as office clerk, treasurer, finance officer, nursery school teacher, and other numerous positions. Sharon cared most about her family and her church. She was a loving and supportive wife and mother as well as a loving, devoted friend to those who knew her. Besides her husband Phil, she is survived by her son Wayne Visintainer of East Hampton, her daughter and son-in-law Dawn and Gregory Stanhope of East Hampton. She was predeceased by her brother Richard Warner, and her 2 sisters Ramona Warner, and Beverly Carlson. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 15th, 2025 at 10:00 am in the Haddam Neck Covenant Church at 17 Haddam Neck Rd East Hampton. Burial will be in Union Hill Cemetery at 12 noon. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Haddam Neck Covenant Church Music Fund at 17 Haddam Neck Rd East Hampton, Ct 06424.
