Ryan Mathew McCutcheon, 36, of Marlborough passed away unexpectedly on December 27, beloved son of Roark and the late Ann (Sturm) McCutcheon. He is survived by his father, Roark McCutcheon of Marlborough, brother Zachary, wife Alicia, and niece Zoey McCutcheon of Rocky Hill, Aunt Megan McCutcheon of Kensington, Aunt Raleigh (John) Stewart of Newington, Aunt Laura (Pete) Schmidt of Florida, Uncles Chris Sturm of Delaware and Tim Sturm of Florida, cousins Gentry and Ian Stewart, Nicholas and Michaela Sturm. Ryan grew up in Marlborough and graduated from RHAM High School. He worked in home construction and later started his own business Harmless Furniture making all kinds of outdoor wood products from recycled materials. He was an avid runner and lake swimmer who loved a good daily workout. He found a lot of peace in nature walking the local trails and streams. He would go out of his way to help a neighbor or anyone in need. He loved camping and sitting by a bonfire with his friends. Ryan is best remembered for his big heart and a smile that was contagious. He will be missed by all that knew him. Calling hours will be on January 15, from 9:30 to 11:00 AM followed by a service at Spencer's Funeral Home, 112 Main Street in East Hampton.
