Rolf Alba, 84, of Marlborough and formerly of Hamburg and Dumont, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 18th at Middlesex Hospital Hospice. Rolf was very recently predeceased by his beloved wife of 58 years, Beatrice (Bonavita) Alba. Born April 15,1940 in Berlin-Schmargendorf, Germany, he was the son of the late Kurt and Hildegard (Becker) Alba. Rolf came to the United States in 1955 and proudly served his new country in the U.S. Army from 1959-1962. Rolf worked as a car salesman for Volkswagen for over 40 years, until his retirement. He enjoyed bowling, deep-sea fishing, boating, the Jersey Shore, trips to the casino, scratch-off lottery tickets and spending time with his wife and family. Rolf is survived by his daughter, Christine Alba Quaranto and her husband Paul of Marlborough, his son, Jason Michael Alba and his wife Kareen of Vernon, New Jersey, a brother Ray Alba of Yukon, Oklahoma, two grandchildren Kayla Tortorelli and Dylan Alba, two great-grandchildren Brielle and Joseph (JT) Tortorelli, and several nieces and nephews. Rolf was predeceased by his parents, sister Rosi Siciliano and brother Hartmut Alba. Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family.
