Robert J. Olzacki

Robert J.(Squeek) Olzacki, 83 of East Hampton, husband of MaryAnn (Brown) Olzacki, passed away peacefully at Middlesex Hospital on April 17, 2020. Robert was born February 4, 1937, in New London, Connecticut and was the son of the late Henry and Catherine (Krupinski) Olzacki of Colchester. Robert was a longtime resident of East Hampton and was employed at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft prior to his retirement. Robert enjoyed fishing, hunting and golf especially if it could be done with family and friends and loved his John Deere tractor. In addition, to his wife of 60 years, he leaves four children: Joseph A., Robert D., Michael and his wife Cheri and daughter Kristin and her husband Paul J. Olzacki-Owen, all of East Hampton. He also leaves behind his grandchildren Nichole and husband Michael, Dylan and wife Meghan, Austin, and Baylee his "special little girl"; three great grandchildren Emma and Aria Decker and Brooks Olzacki. Robert also leaves behind a sister and brother-in-law Patricia and Michael Gallagher of Groton, niece Sheila and husband Ronald Powers and their children Ryan and Lexi of Old Saybrook and nephew Sean Gallagher and his children Kassidy and Tiffany of Waterford, cousins Carolyn Walukiewicz of Mystic, James and wife Lynn Olzacki of Punta Gorda, Florida and Aunt Sophie (Olzacki) Monroe of Mystic and special family friends Stephen and R.J. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Middlesex Hospital critical care team for going above and beyond for the care and inclusion of our family and our loved one during this health crisis and sacrificing  themselves to care for others.
