Richard Tucker Quinn Jr., 64, of Moodus and formerly of Portland, passed away Thursday August 28th at Hartford Hospital. Born February 11, 1961, in Middletown he was the son of Shirley (Miner) Quinn and the late Richard T. Quinn Sr. Richard lived most of his life in Moodus and had worked as an airplane mechanic for VIP Avionics in Hartford for over 20 years and had previously worked at the Goodspeed Airport in East Haddam. Richard loved NASCAR and going to the races at Stafford Motor Speedway and the Waterford Speed Bowl. Besides his mother Richard is survived by his partner Barbara Olsen of Moodus, his sister Shirley Blasius and her partner Ed McKeran of Canterbury, his nephew Michael Walden and his two nieces Heidi Quinn Maynard and Stephanie Walden., and several cousins and many friends. A Graveside service will be held Saturday September 6th at 11AM in Lakeview Cemetery in East Hampton. The Spencer Funeral Home has care of the arrangements.
