Richard Stevens Denman, 74, of East Hampton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday Dec. 12th at Portland Care and Rehab. Born May 4, 1949 in Middletown he was the son of the late Wayne and Isabella (Hull) Denman Sr. Richard proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. Upon his return he worked as a Radio Controller for the State of Connecticut until his retirement. Richard was a Life Member of the VFW Post in East Hampton. He is survived by his sister Nancy Szymaszek and her husband John of East Hampton, Niece Cathy Domin, nephews Jay (Barbara) and Todd (Dawn) grand niece and nephew Amanda and Lucas. He was predeceased by his brother Wayne Denman Jr. A graveside service will be held Monday Dec. 18th at 11AM in the family plot in Lake View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice. The family would like to thank the staff at Portland Care and Rehab for the care and kindness they provided Richard over the past few years.
