Pamela Jeanne Powell (Hudlett) passed away unexpectedly at Middlesex Memorial Hospital, Middletown, Connecticut, on Sunday April 21, 2024, surrounded by family. She was born on December 2,1946, in Rochester, New York, to Elizabeth Jennings Hudlett and August Frederich Hudlett. The family moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Pam graduated from Stranahan High School in 1964 and was the recipient of the Sandy Nininger award. She worked in the family business at Croissant Park Day School, which later became Hudlett Day School. She loved to travel and visited multiple continents. She cared for her parents until their passing in 1998 and 2006. In August 2020, she moved to East Hampton, Connecticut, to be closer to her daughter, Melinda, her son-in-law Michael Rose, and her three grandchildren, Braeden, Morgan and Meagan Rose. She is predeceased by her parents, her brother, Frederick, and her sister, Patricia Miko, and survived by her brother Jeffery John Hudlett, and nieces and nephews.
Entombment will be at Lauderdale Memorial Cemetery, next to her parents and near other family members.
