Merrick M Videll born August 5,1958 passed on January 5, 2021 after multiple failed spinal and neck surgeries over the past few years.
He enlisted in the Army in 1976. During the Seven years of service he was stationed in Germany, Colorado and Massachusetts.
Originally from East Hampton, Ct. he moved to St Petersburg,Fl where he spent many years as a carpenter, handyman, a general fixit guy. He made many friends through the years. He had an infectious personality and was loved by many. He spent many years as Adjutant of the DAV Chapter 13 and volunteered as a beloved bingo caller.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Annette Videll, a daughter and son in law, Naomi and Bill DeVoid, a daughter and son in law, Crystal and Tito Cabrera, a son and daughter in law, Arron and Danielle McLaughlin, 6 grandchildren, his mother,Jean Videll, his Aunt, Mary Healey, his brother, Victor Videll and his sister, Debbie Neumann and numerous nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his father,Roy Videll and brothers, Bradley, Troy and Roger Videll.
There will be a graveside service in May,29,2021 at 10:00 AM at St Patrick’s cemetery. All are welcome to attend the service or a gathering directly following the service at Cindy and David Fairbanks 65 Morse Road Manchester, Ct.
