Mary Frances (Stringer) Jones

Mary Frances Stringer Jones, 75 of Newington CT formerly of Middletown CT passed on 3 February 2023.  She is preceded by her father Paul D. Stringer Sr., her mother Mary Stringer Lowe, her brother William Craig Stringer and her beloved husband Harry James Jones Sr.  She is leaving behind a brother Paul D. Stringer Jr., a sister Lynn Stringer Ford, a daughter Yvette Charisse Jones, a son Harry James Jones Jr., 6 grandchildren Amondayshey  La’Rae Briscoe, Harry James Jones III, Sofia Rodriguez Jones, Eliana Rodriguez Jones, Laith Gabriel Jones and Nia Frances Jones and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends who will miss her dearly.

Mary, graduated from the American School for Deaf (ASD). Her school was very beloved to her; she would always support events, classmates and student functions as an active alumni and friend to the community.  She was also very active with the Girl Scouts of America as well.

Mary, loved  her tiger print (which happened to be the ASD mascot) and it was noted by all, often friends and family would lovingly refer to her as the “Tiger Lady.” She also had a massive snowman collection and love to display them during her favorite holiday Christmas.

Mary, enjoyed watching Bobby Jones Gospel on the television every Sunday and her stories everyday at 1230 sharp! She enjoyed scrabble, other board /card games, softball, entertaining, dancing, traveling, bowling, spending time with friends and family and spoiling her dog Bubba who she loved very much. Along with being the go to person for pictures because she loved to take them and document special moments, she also loved playing practical jokes on friends, family and whom every she could poke in the neck and laugh out loud with.

Her infectious smile, laugh and her love of all will carry her on forever. 

.  Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 11th 2023 at Spencer Funeral Home 112 Main St. East Hampton, CT.
