Mary (Barber) Flannery passed away peacefully on August 8, 2025, with her daughter, Karen, by her side. Mary was born Nov 11, 1935, to the late Charles Allen and Hazel (Strong) Barber. A lifelong resident of East Hampton, she spent the last seven years living in Casselberry FL. She was predeceased by her husband of 48 years, James P. Flannery, and her sons, William “Bill” D. Flannery and Timothy “Tim” M. Flannery. Mary is survived by her son, James “Pete” Flannery (Diane), daughters, Karen (Flannery) Ganson and Katherine Flannery, as well as her brother, Theodore “Ted” Barber (Sandy). She is survived by 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Spencer Funeral Home 112 Main St East Hampton on Friday, Oct 3rd from 5 to 7 pm. A funeral mass will be held at 11 am on Saturday, Oct 4th followed by burial at St Patrick's Cemetery.
