Margaret Arlene Zeuner Mott of East Hampton, widow of the late Frank Mott, passed away on Monday, March 23, 2026, surrounded by the family she devoted her life to. Born on January 14, 1941, in Brooklyn New York, she was the daughter of the late Mae and Valentine Zeuner.
Margaret spent many years working as a dedicated nursing assistant, caring for others with the same compassion and steadiness she brought to every part of her life. After retiring, her greatest joy became watching her grandchildren grow. She poured her heart into them, offering love, guidance, and the kind of unwavering support only a grandmother can give.
Fiercely protective of her family – almost to a fault- she was the one everyone knew they could count on. Her generosity was boundless. Margaret opened her home for every holiday, every barbecue, every gathering that brought people together. Her table was always full, and so was her heart.
Margaret is survived by her children, Kim Moon (Kenny), Lisa Seymour (Whitman), and William Mott, as well as her daughter-in-law Karen Mott, who will forever carry her strength, and her love within them. She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren with 3 more arriving shortly. She was preceded in death by her husband Frank, her son Frank, her grandson Scott Evans, and her daughter- in- law Deborah Mott.
Friends may call the Spencer Funeral Home, 112 Main Street, East Hampton, on Saturday, April 11, 2026, from 9:30 am – 11:00 am. A service will immediately follow. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Middlesex Hospice Program at middlesexhealth.org/donate, in honor of her lifelong commitment to caring for others as well as the wonderful services and care they provided to her and her family during her final month.
Her family takes comfort in knowing that her legacy lives on in the traditions she created, the love she gave and the countless lives she touched.
