Lorraine S. (Simon) Watkins

Lorraine (Simon) Watkins, 96, of Marlborough, widow of the late Gordon A Watkins Sr. passed away peacefully on Wednesday Aug 23rd at Middlesex Hospice while surrounded by her three sons. Born Aug. 23, 1927 in East Hartford, Ct, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Violet (Freeman) Simon. Lorraine was employed by the State of Connecticut in the accounting department of Manchester Community College until her retirement. She is survived by her three sons Gordon A. Watkins Jr. and his partner Kathleen Mihalyak of McCormick, SC, Roy B Watkins and his wife Patricia of Marlborough, Jeffrey S. Watkins and his partner Jeannie Fellion of Broad Brook, seven grandchildren Brian Watkins, Burton Watkins (Keri), Krystal Watkins (Christopher), Karley Root (Rob), Dawn Viera (Jonathan), Austin Watkins and Violet Watkins, and six great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother Walter C Simon and her sister Irene D. Annis. Funeral services will be PRIVATE at the convenience of the family. She will be buried in the family plot in Marlboro Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in her memory may be made to the Middlesex Hospital Hospice Unit c/o Middlesex Hospital Department of Philanthropy 55 Crescent St. Middletown, CT 06457.
