Leona Stevens age 78, of Cedar Ridge Drive Glastonbury formerly of East Hampton died peacefully with her family at her side Thursday 19, 2021
Lee was a hard working Mother and Wife. She held many jobs in her life from Mother and caretaker to machine operator and tool setter for PWA & Jarvis to a security guard at the CT. Yankee power plant. Lee was also an avid salt and pepper collector accumulating over 5000 pairs; she had quite the animated stuffed animal collection as well. Lee never turned down a Triple Yatzee game and could play game after game.
She is survived by her children Robert Stevens Jr. and Wife Maria, Denise Malaro and her husband Joe, pre deceased Brother Robert Goldman Sr. Sister’s Sue Reynolds of Iowa, Joy Junas of Nevada and, Grandchildren Lindsey Piscatelli and husband Lou, Will Malaro and wife Kelly, Jessica Zavatsky and husband Frank, Peter Villa Jr and wife Lois and David Villa. Great Grand Children Jameson Ackert, Parker Malaro & Kirk, John, Eli & Grace Lynn Piscatelli. Peter Villa 3rd. & Carli Villa.
The family wishes to thank Marlborough Heathcare and Rehabilition for the compassion and care she received while a resident. We also want to thank the Medical staff at Hartford Hospital for the care and compassion during her final hours.
