Kathleen S. (Maxwell) Matulis, 71, of East Hampton, passed away Tuesday March 23rd at Hartford Hospital. Born July 18, 1949 in New Britain, she was the daughter of the late William and Antoinette (Petula) Maxwell. Kathleen had worked in the food service industry until her retirement. Kathleen leaves to mourn her loss her daughter Penny Bryzgel, Ed.D. and husband Todd of Moodus, her son Raymond Matulis and wife Maria of Middletown, her two granddaughters Julia and Alexandra Matulis, her former husband and father of her children Paul Matulis and his wife Patricia of FL, and her best friend William Turner of Dayville. Friends may call at the Spencer Funeral Home 112 Main St. East Hampton, on Tuesday March 30th from 5:00PM until 7:00PM. There will be a service held at 7:00PM. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to The Hole In The Wall Gang Camp at www.holeinthewallgang.org.
