John Meyers Sarnik, 84, husband of his loving wife Barbara, passed away at home on June 3, 2021. John was predeceased by his son David, as well as his parents John and Elsie (McDonald) Sarnik. Besides his wife of 62 years, he is survived by his children John Sarnik and his wife Kathy of Andover, CT, James Sarnik of Cape Canaveral, FL, and Kathleen Filosa and her husband Kurt of Marlborough, CT; grandchildren John-David, William, and David Sarnik; Anna, Emma, Elise, and Laura Filosa, along with four great grandchildren. John was born April 22, 1937 and grew up in Stratford, CT before moving to Marlborough, CT in 1968. John worked for United Technologies for 34 years as a mechanical engineer. He was a Tree Warden for the Town of Marlborough and was a member of the Parks and Recreation Commission. John was on the committee that built Planeta Ball Field on Park Road which was later changed to Park Road Field. John loved to watch and play sports of all kinds and played on an organized baseball team from the ages of 8-50 years old. One of his greatest joys was playing golf at Blackledge Country Club with many good friends.
