John F. Hanson, 86, of East Hampton, beloved husband of Marilyn (Miller) Hanson, passed away Friday Sept. 25th at West Haven Veteran’s Hospital after a brief illness. Born Nov. 7, 1933 in East Hampton, he was the son of the late Jarl and Olga (Isacson) Hanson. He was a lifelong resident of East Hampton where he owned and operated Hanson’s Plumbing Supply before his retirement. John graduated East Hampton High School in the class of 1952. He served his country in the Seabees during the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion Treadway-Cavanaugh Post #64 in East Hampton and the Belltown Sportsman’s Club. Besides his wife he is survived by his nieces and nephews as well as his stepchildren and step grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife Regina and three brothers Ebert Hanson, Hilding Hanson and Gilbert Hanson. Burial will be in the CT State Veteran’s Cemetery on Bow Lane in Middletown on Monday Oct. 5th at 10:00AM.
