Jeffrey Daniel Hyde of Coventry Connecticut, passed away unexpectedly on June 22, 2025, at the age of 66. He was a beloved father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend. Born on February 8, 1959, in Syracuse, New York, Jeff was the eldest son of Daniel Charles Hyde and the late Shirley (Brown) Hyde. He graduated from East Hampton High School in East Hampton, Connecticut, in 1977.
Jeff had an extensive career in carpentry and construction. Before setting out on his own, he worked as an apprentice for some of the largest construction companies in Connecticut. Over the course of more than forty years, he successfully founded and managed two companies: Superior Interiors and Premier Construction Management. His strategic thinking and focused vision contributed significantly to his success.
Jeff loved his family, baseball, racing, cars, and motorcycles. As a lifelong Yankees enthusiast, he frequently engaged in discussions about their games with his family and friends. He was an experienced craftsman who took pleasure in woodworking and restoration projects. Jeff’s love for his family centered the way he lived his life and was at the heart of everything he did.
Jeff is survived by his children, Jesse, Jennifer, and Jeremy; his father, Daniel Hyde; and his siblings, Derek Hyde and Brian Hyde. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law, Joyce Hyde, and Sandy Hyde, as well as his niece, Elizabeth Hyde, and nephew, Daniel Hyde. Jeff is predeceased by his mother, Shirley Hyde, and his eldest son, Jason Hyde.
A memorial for Jeff will be held at a future date, which will be announced. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in his memory to the American Heart Association
