Janet Franklin

Janet Franklin, 85, of  Glastonbury, passed peacefully at Hartford Hospital on September 30th, 2024.  Janet was a loving and generous person and especially adored animals. 

Janet was born December 11, 1938 in Oceanside, NY to Samuel W. Franklin Jr. And Margaret King Miller Franklin. Janet attended Paul Smith’s College for 4 years, then the University of Connecticut for 2 years and finally attended The Hartford Institute of Accounting. 

Janet worked as an accountant for many years at Limra in Hartford and then at UCONN Health Center. Janet is predeceased by her parents. Janet is survived by a loving partner of many years, Enid Redfern; a brother Samuel W. Franklin III and his wife Jane R. Franklin; her sister Jaqueline Franklin Rich; a niece Katherine M Franklin-Leo, her husband Peter Leo, and great niece Emma J Leo; nephew Wallace V Rich III; great nieces Lola Rich and Farrah Rich; nephew Seth T Rich; great niece Camryn Rich and great nephew Hunter Rich. 

Burial will be held at Union Hill Cemetery in Middle Haddam on October 26, 2024 at 2pm.
