Born Dec. 23, 2001, in New Haven, CT, he was the son of Robert Cavallo and Lora (Apostolides) Cavallo. Jake was a 2020 graduate of Bacon Academy in Colchester and a 2024 graduate of the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering. Jake recently landed his dream job at Electric Boat in Groton. Besides his parents he is survived by his long time girlfriend and love of his life Marlie Gill, his step father George Hinds of Colchester, his step mother, Stephanie Cavallo, his maternal grandmother Arlene Richardson (John), maternal great grandmother, Marie Salvatore, brother James Cavallo of Colchester, sister Ava Cavallo of Middletown, step brothers Adam and Alex Hinds of Somers, uncle James Cavallo, aunts Cathy Peterson and Lisa Apostolides, and his second family, the Gills. Jake was a happy young man with so much love in his heart. He loved his family more than anything and kept Sundays for dinners with his mom, George, brothers and Emily, alternating Sundays playing golf with his dad and having dinner with his dad, Stephanie and Ava. He invested himself in all of his hobbies including skateboarding, snowboarding, golf, dirt bikes and motorcycles. Jake loved all of the people in his life and loved experiencing life with them. His best times were playing Cougar football, lacrosse and football at Bacon Academy and many events with his fraternity, Pi Kappa Phi, where he met his best friend, Andrew Kattman, and others he considered his brothers. He just started his career at EB, and was looking forward to moving to Groton soon to start his life with Marlie. Words can not describe how much he will be missed by all that knew him.
Friends may call at the Spencer Funeral Home 112 Main St. East Hampton on Friday Sept. 20th from 5:00 PM until 7:30 PM. A funeral service will begin at 7:30PM.
