Irene E. Anderson, 94, of East Hampton, widow of the late Clifford L. Anderson passed away Monday April 26th at Middlesex Hospital. Born May 14, 1926 in Eastford, she was the daughter of the late Clifford and Ruth French. Irene grew up in Eastford. She married Cliff in 1949, they made their home in Woodstock,CT until moving to East Hampton in 1965. She had worked in the food service at Cobalt Lodge and had volunteered with Meals on Wheels. Irene was an active member of the Haddam Neck Covenant Church. She is survived by her son Raymond Anderson and wife Sandra of TN, daughters Katherine Yantosh and husband Thomas of Rockfall, CT, Janet Marino and husband Sebastian of FL, two sisters Dorothy Horton and Lorraine Howlett, 5 grandchildren Jonathan, Shane, Kimberly, Rebecca, Ashley, and great grandchildren, Lucas, Finnian, Lillian, Allyson, Lianna, Serena, Mason, Trenton and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by brothers Milton (Kenneth) French, Russell French, sisters Arlene (Peggy) Bowen and Betty Perry. Funeral service to be held Sunday, May 2nd, 3PM at Haddam Neck Covenant Church, East Hampton. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Haddam Neck Covenant Church 17 Haddam Neck Rd. East Hampton, CT 06424. Masks and social distancing required.
