Greg Katsis

Greg Katsis, 66, passed away Friday January 24, 2025 after a sudden illness surrounded by family. Greg was the son of the late Nicholas Katsis & Olga Karpuk Katsis. He was married to Carol Katsis of Stratford for 43 years. They leave two children: Brian & his wife Kerrie, and Keith & his wife Lindsay. They also leave 3 grandchildren: Gavin, Quinn, and Logan. He is survived by his sisters, Debbie Moore of SC and Cindy Brown of NY.
A graduate of Stratford High School, Greg opened "Greg's NY Style Deli" when he was 18 years old in Stratford and loved making food for people. His entire working career was in some way or another involved in the food industry. Working for Sodexo, big y, and most recently Adams supermarket in Portland. Greg and Carol moved to North Carolina for a while and enjoyed life on the beach until grandchildren became a thing and they decided to move back to CT.
Greg loved being out in the sun, trips to the casino, and joking with his family and friends. He was very proud of his Greek heritage, and his Greek Christmas cookies will be missed by all who were lucky enough to have them.
Family and friends may call on Saturday February 1st from 4:00p.m. to 6:00p.m. at Spencer Funeral Home, 112 Main St, East Hampton, CT.
