George R. McFatter

George R. McFatter, 79, beloved husband to Nancy (Acasio) McFatter passed away at Hartford Hospital on Saturday July 2, 2022. He was born in Dorchester, MA in 1943 and was the son of George I. and Barbara (Barron) McFatter. He graduated from the University of Hartford and worked at the Aetna. He later graduated from nursing school and was an LPN at several convalescent homes. Besides his wife of 57 years, he will be lovingly missed by his daughter Susan Reitze of Maggie Valley, NC, her son Joshua and his wife Angela of West Dover, VT, her son Zachery Reitze and his wife Joselyn of Canton, NC, his son Robert McFatter and his wife Christi of Bolton, CT, and their children Zoe and Andrew, his sister-in-law Anita Acasio of Houston, TX, and his brother-in-law Andrew Acasio of New Bern, NC. George proudly served his country in the Army during the Korean War. He loved flyfishing and was often found casting on the Salmon River. Funeral services will be private.
