Frederick John Jacobson

Frederick John Jacobson, 89, of East Hampton, widower of Katharine (Costello) Jacobson passed away Friday Nov. 22nd at his home with his daughter by his side. Born Dec. 10, 1934 in East Hampton he was the son of the late Einar and Judith (Issacson) Jacobson. Fred was a lifelong resident of East Hampton and an active member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church and he enjoyed singing in the choir for many years. He had worked as a chemist for the Sibley Company until 1986. Fred also drove a school bus for the Nichols Bus Company for several years. Fred enjoyed fishing and was a member of the East Hampton Sportsman Club, he was an animal lover and enjoyed hunting with many springer spaniels over his lifetime. He also owned many cats. He is survived by his daughter Traci Jacobson of East Hampton, his two grandchildren Justin and Vanessa Willette. He was predeceased by his two sisters Judith Walstedt and Ruth Hollings. A memorial service will be held Saturday Dec. 21st at 11:00AM in Bethlehem Lutheran Church followed by burial in Lake View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in his memory as he was a lifetime member.
