Evelyn Mary (Bennett) Royce

Evelyn “Mary” Bennett Royce, 96, of East Hampton, widow of the late Frederick A. Royce Sr. passed away Friday Nov. 8th at Middlesex Hospital. Born Sept. 6, 1928 in Hartford she was the daughter of the late Everett and Mary Irene (Beckett) Bennett. Mary was retired from Pratt & Whitney Aircraft, a life member of the East Hampton Vol. Fire Dept. Women’s Auxiliary and a member of the East Hampton Senior Center. She is survived by her son Frederick A. Royce Jr. and wife Dawna of East Hampton, three daughters Dorothy M Clark of Colchester, Francine A. Watson of Colchester, Brenda L. Grover and husband Dan of Ledyard, 13 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers William, Harold and Everett Bennett and her sister Clara Breton.

Friends may call at the Spencer Funeral Home 112 Main St. East Hampton on Thursday Nov. 14th from 5:00PM until 7:00PM. A funeral service will be held in the Spencer Funeral Home on Friday Nov. 15th at 1:00PM with burial in Lake View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the East Hampton Volunteer Fire Department.
