Eleanor “Ellie” Parker, 88, of East Hampton, CT passed away peacefully on April 16, 2026, with loved ones by her side. She was the daughter of Chester and Mabel Alden, born on February 24, 1938, in Winhall, VT, and grew up in Peru, VT. Ellie moved to East Hampton with her husband, Garth O. Parker, Sr. and her family, where she lived for the last 56 years.
She was truly a light in this world, especially to her family and dearest friends. She was the sweetest, warmest, and kindest person, easily befriending anyone she met. Before dedicating her life to her family, Ellie worked as a machinist at Pratt and Whitney. She was known for her love of her family, pride in her home, her exceptional hospitality, and mastery of crocheting, quilting, knitting, and needlepoint. Her culinary skills were legendary among those who knew her, and her home was a place of constant love and warmth.
Ellie was predeceased by her husband, her seven brothers and sisters, and her daughter, Dolores B. Konior. She is survived by her son, Garth O. Parker, Jr. and his wife Ruth, her grandchildren, Scott Konior and his wife Jenna, Steven Konior, Chelsea Sanchez and her husband Daniel, Garth O. Parker, III and his wife Alyssa, as well as seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Ellie will be remembered for her belief in love and kindness, and her faith in the Lord. Her family finds comfort in knowing that she is reunited in heaven with her beloved family members.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 2 at Spencer Funeral Home at 112 Main St., East Hampton, CT. Calling hours will start at 10:00 a.m., funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow.
