Donn Krasnitski Obituary

Donn Steven Krasnitski, 71 of East Hampton beloved husband of Sandra Krasnitski (Bell) passed away peacefully at Middlesex Hospital surrounded by his family on Wednesday, January 8.  He was born in Middletown, the son of John Krasnitski and Shirley Krasnitski (MacDonald).  He is survived by his brother Steven Krasnitski, sister Julie Vogel (Tom), stepdaughters Cynthia Piatti, Vicki Blake, Carrie Stanton, grandsons Michael, David, Daniel, Patrick, Garrett, great granddaughter Gabby and his beloved nieces and nephews.

Donn received two associates degrees from Middlesex Community College and retired in 2020 after a rewarding career at Travelers.

He acquired a love of music at an early age and often recalled the day his dad took him to purchase his first guitar.  The rest is history.  In addition to playing in various bands, he and his band, Belltown County, provided the musical entertainment for well over 250 weddings in the area during the 1970’s and 80’s.  His love of music inspired him to compose hundreds of songs over the years.

With Sandy by his side he enjoyed watching sunrises  in Ogunquit, ME, road trips up north and numerous visits to Disney World.  His laughter, music, generosity and storytelling will forever be remembered.

Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
