David Stuart Timbrell

David Stuart Timbrell, 70, of Waterford, Connecticut passed away suddenly on Friday, September 21, 2018. Son of the late Ruth Hazel (Bailey) Timbrell and Ernest Stuart Timbrell, he was born on April 4, 1948, in Meriden, CT. David grew up fishing and hiking in and around the coastal waters and woods of southern New England, before honorably serving overseas during the Vietnam War as a Sergeant in the United States Air Force. David returned to New England after the war, where he attended college and spent a successful career in the medical field until his retirement several years ago.    Remembered for his sharp wit, resourcefulness, and deep love of the outdoors, David was perhaps best known for the unwavering dedication, love, and support he had for his children and grandchildren, whom were the center of his universe. Younger than his years, David was relentlessly active, enjoying the ever present physical challenges of boating, walking, and biking his favorite spots around the mouth of the Connecticut River and Long Island Sound. David is forever lovingly remembered by his three children, Aimee Baldassaro (Todd), Jonathan Timbrell (Lydia), Karen Bellos (Michael), grandchildren Adam, Anna, Macklin and Max, his loving significant other Jacalyn Pilecki, his sister Judith Lynch, Mary Timbrell (mother of his children) as well as his dearest friend and fellow outdoorsman Mark Nantz and beloved extended family.
