Corinne C. (Johnston) Thresher

Corinne “Rene” C. (Connelly) Thresher, 74, of East Hampton, CT, widow of the late James Thresher,

passed away at her home on Wednesday July 19, 2023. Born March 16, 1949, in Norwich, CT, she was

the daughter of the late Robert “Robin” and Jeannette (Young) Johnston. Corinne was a lifelong resident

of East Hampton, CT, a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, and a past member of the Belltown

Garden Club. As passed down from her mother, and shared with her sisters, Corinne was an avid

gardener. She had an infectious laugh and a sarcastic sense of humor that will be greatly missed.

Corinne is survived by her sister, Lucinda (Gene) Giemza of Cambridge, NY and brother, Robert “Pete”

Johnston, of East Hampton, CT. She also leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews. Corinne

was predeceased by her sister Kathleen Collins only a few short months ago.

A private service will be held at the Col. Robert Gates Cemetery in Rocky Hill, CT. In lieu of flowers,

donations can be made to the Newington CT Human Society, 701 Russell Rd., Newington, CT 06111.
