Bruce Strong Sr Obituary

Bruce H. Strong Sr., 75, of Salisbury, NC, formerly from East Hampton, passed away peaceful at home surrounded by his family and dogs, Henry and Gus, on July 6, 2022. Born August 5, 1946, he was the son of the late Charles and Helen (Torkelson) Strong. Bruce is now reunited for eternity with the love of his life Nancy.

Bruce battled MS for over 45 years and did not let his illness discourage him from living life. He loved fishing, boating, camping, woodworking, doing puzzles, listening to music, and going to the beach. He was an avid fan of NASCAR and the New England Patriots. Bruce loved his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. His greatest memories were made at Camp Harkness for persons with disabilities with his family camping, fishing, and enjoying the ocean.

He is survived by his daughters Wendy (Strong) Coleman and husband Thomas, of Salisbury, NC, Jennifer Strong of East Hampton, and a son Bruce Strong and wife Dawn of East Hampton, his brothers David Strong and wife Laurie and Charles Strong, his grandchildren Andrea, Anthony (Tori), Kyle (Katie), Adam (Madison), and Alysa (Chris), and 6, soon to be 7 great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at Lakeview Cemetery on Monday July 18th, 2022, at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Bruce’s memory to Camp Harkness 301 Great Neck Rd Waterford, CT 06385.
