Bruce Moquin Obituary

Bruce Moquin, 68, of East Hampton, beloved husband to Mary (Evarts) Moquin entered into eternal rest suddenly Monday October 9, 2023.  Born in Rockville, CT to the late Richard and Bernice (Whipple) Moquin and grew up in Coventry. Bruce worked many years as a butcher and meat supervisor for many years at Ellington Super Market until opening a small restaurant, The Snack Shack, in East Hampton.   Upon retirement he worked at Black Ledge Country Club which gave him time to enjoy the outdoors.  He loved meeting and connecting with people, everyone was a friend.  He enjoyed traveling anywhere warm and spending time with family.  He was an avid Red Sox and UCONN fan, loved to fish and being outdoors, especially with his dog Bella.

Besides his wife Mary he is survived by son Mark and Jessica Moquin of East Hampton, daughter Wendy and Shawn Defelice of Marlborough, step sons Andrew and Luke Brooks, step daughter Emily Brooks, grandchildren Khanur Defelice, Reagan and Ryder Moquin and step grandson Liam Pavlov as well as two sisters and a brother.  He was predeceased by his parents and wife Joanne.

Friends and family will gather at the Spencer Funeral Home 112 Main St. East Hampton, CT 06424 on Monday October 16, 2023 from 5pm-7pm.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in Bruce’s name to the Food Bank at 43 West High St. East Hampton, CT 06424
