Brian James Smith

Brian J. Smith, 68, of Marlborough, husband of Linda (Hoffman) Smith passed away peacefully on July 16, 2021. Born April 29, 1953 in Middletown he was the son of the late Arthur L. and Anna (Gemeasky) Smith. Brian worked as a cabinet maker for many years. Besides his wife he is survived by his daughter Lorna Smith and her partner Eric Blackman, his grand daughters Anna Blackman and Mara Blackman, his son Michael, his brother George and his wife Phyllis, his brother-in-law Dennis Orange and several extended family members. In addition to his parents Brian was predeceased by a brother Bruce Smith and a sister State Representative Linda Orange. Brian was a volunteer firefighter with the Marlborough Volunteer Fire Department for many years. He was also a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post 197. The family would like to thank the staff at Marlborough Health Care Center for giving Brian the care he needed the past few years.
