Alfred A. Klinzmann, 91, of East Hampton, beloved husband of Dorothy (Miles) Klinzmann passed away peacefully on Friday March 3rd at Middlesex Hospital. Born Feb. 11, 1932 in Waterbury he was the son of the late Alfred E. and Erma Sigrid Evelina (Larson) Klinzmann. Alfred proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He had worked as a Tool and Die Maker for Scoville which became Century Brass in Waterbury for 30 years and then later worked at Barton Manufacturing in East Hampton retiring in 1994. Besides his wife Dorothy he is survived by his daughter Lori Szada and husband Tim of Wisconsin, two sons Gary Klinzmann and wife JoAnne of Farmington, Alan Klinzmann and Renata Zujewski of Southington, two step daughters Pamela Thompson-Kelly of Middletown, Nancy Thompson-Manzara of Durham, 10 grandchildren, 7 step grandchildren two of which predeceased him, and 11 step great grandchildren. He was also predeceased by a sister Faye Penhallow.
Friends may call at the Spencer Funeral Home 112 Main St. East Hampton on Thursday March 9th from 6 until 8PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday March 10th at 10:30AM with burial to follow in the Swedish Cemetery in Portland.
