Vitauts J. Disereits, 65, of Meriden, beloved husband of Wanda (Campbell) Disereits passed away unexpectedly on Friday Aug. 24th in east Hampton. Born Sept. 24, 1952 in Meriden he was the son of Arvida Ositis. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Vitauts was employed as a truck driver for many years. He and his family enjoyed camping, especially at Nelson’s Family Campground in East Hampton. Vitauts also enjoyed watching both soccer and wrestling. Besides his wife Wanda he is survived by his son Gordon Campbell and wife Paulette of Meriden, daughters Halina Disereits of Hartford, Hannah Disereits and her boyfriend Jeff Valibus of Meriden, a sister Astrida Gerry of Middletown and his beloved dog Tasha. A Celebration of Vitauts’ Life will be held Thursday August 30th at 11:30AM at the Nelson Family Campground 71 Mott Hill Rd. East Hampton, CT. Burial will be at a later date.
