Dear Bear Family: My deepest sympathy to the family and friends of John. We will never get used to losing our loved ones in death because at it says at Ecclesiastes 3:11, we were created with everlasting life in view. But may you find comfort in knowing that Almighty God has promised that soon he will swallow up death forever along with the pain that it brings. (Isaiah 25:8) God has also promised that he will return John to you as it says at John 5:28,29. You can also learn more about what happens when a loved one dies at JW.org.
Sincerely,
Susan

I had never met John, but I have learned a good deal about him and the impact he had on our community, which made me feel like I knew him a little. John was hired in 1949 at the Presque Isle Recreation Department and worked here for several years. He worked with kids running baseball and other programs and from what I gather was a kind and gentle person who had a wonderful influence on others. I had intended to reach out to John over the last couple years, to learn first hand more about him and recreation back in those days. Regretfully, I never did. My condolences to John's loved ones . John Bear was certainly a special person and one that will be missed by many.

To lose our loved ones to death is very painful. Many wonder "Why do good people die?"  Romans 5:12 gives us the answer. Thou this enemy (death) overtakes our loved ones, God's word assures us that he will restore life to many who have fallen asleep in death. (John 5:28.29)
