Laurice Joy Geysen, 47, of West Palm Beach, FL and formerly of East Hampton, passed away Wednesday April 17th at Hartford Hospital. Born Oct. 8, 1976 in Hartford, the beloved daughter of Louis John Geysen and Carolyn Bonnie (Strong) Geysen of East Hampton. Laurice was a 1995 graduate of East Hampton High School. She earned her Associate Degree from Johnson and Wales College in Charleston, SC, Bachelor of Arts Degree from Central CT State University and her MBA from University of Connecticut. Laurice had been employed by United Technologies Corp. as a financial analyst with full military clearance, working on the Joint Strike Fighter Unit. Following an early retirement for health reasons she devoted much time to genetic and DNA research and invested in real estate with much wisdom. Laurice enjoyed cooking and developing new recipes. She loved animals, especially her service dogs, Karmah and Drake. Laurice was a passionate personwho was drawn to the Kokopelli and the spirit of family and music. She wanted to bestow the gift of cheer and love to everyone she met.
Besides her parents Laurice is survived by her sister and best friend Janna Danco and her husband Stephen of Glastonbury, and her two dear nephews Samuel and Greyson. She also leaves her Aunts, Uncles and cousins as well as the friends whose lives she touched so deeply.
Family and friends are welcome to visit at 10:00AM, with a memorial service to follow at 11:00AM on Saturday April 27th at the Church of Christ, 595 Tolland Turnpike in Manchester, CT. Burial will be PRIVATE at the convenience of the family in Skinnerville Cemetery in East Hampton.
