David Lord Obituary

David W. Lord, 82, of East Hampton, beloved husband of Joan (Woods) Lord passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family. Born March 30, 1941 in Willimantic, CT, he was the son of the late Benjamin and Isabel (Lyman) Lord. David proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. David was a retired electrician having worked at Pratt & Whitney until his retirement. He was a member of the East Hampton American Legion and the former Marlborough Moose Lodge. Besides his wife Joan he is survived by his son David Lord of Moodus, his daughter Jennifer Lord and her husband David Harrison of Old Saybrook, his 4 grandchildren Benjamin, Sydney, Skylar, Willow, and his special nephew Jason Woods. He was predeceased by his brother Benjamin and his 4 sisters Betty Lou, Lucy, Norma, and Isabel “Tiny”. Friends may call at the Spencer Funeral Home 112 Main St East Hampton on Wednesday March 13th from 5:00PM until 7:00PM. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Thursday March 14th at 11AM in St. Patrick Church in East Hampton followed by burial in CT State Veteran’s Cemetery on Bow Lane in Middletown.
