Howard W. Boutillier, 88, of East Hampton, passed away peacefully at Middlesex Hospital with his loving family at his side. Born Jan. 5, 1929 in Hartford, CT he was the son of the late Elwood and Frieda (Rehm) Boutillier. Howard was predeceased by his loving wife of 60 years Josephine (Prete) Boutillier, two sisters Jean Rackle, Rose Boutillier and one brother Roy Boutillier. Howard is survived by five children, Howard Jr. and wife Trisha of Texas, Lisa Boutillier and her wife Ginnene Branch, John and wife Beverly of East Hampton, Linda Kriss of East Hampton, Joseph and wife Marina of East Hampton, twelve grandchildren Christopher and wife Debbie Boucher of New Britain, Michael Boucher and Michelle Mohr of Wethersfield, Sarah Moyer and husband Matthew of Middletown, Allysa Boutillier of Enfield, Bryan Boutillier of Portland, Lindsey, Taylor and Garrett of TexasMaria Kauffman and husband Brandon of Portland, Joseph Boutillier of East Hampton, Thomas and Dana Kriss of East Hampton, four great grandchildren Deanna, Dylan, Vanessa Boucher of New Britain and Mikah Boucher of Wethersfield, two nephews Fred and wife Jackie Rackle of Wethersfield, William and Debbie Rackle of Iowa, two sisters-in-law Rosemary Maglieri and Atilda Harvey. Howard worked for the Hartford Fire Department and Pratt & Whitney for 33 years. Howard belonged to the AF & AM Anchor Lodge #112 of East Hampton for 53 years. He also belonged to the Sphinx Shrine of Newington for 20 years. While serving at Sphinx Shrine Howard was Chief of the False Alarmers for 3 years. Howard managed for the East Hampton Little League for 17 years, where he coached his sons John and Joe. He took his Little League Teams to seven championships and coached four All Star Teams. Howard always said, “Without family you have nothing.”

Friends may call at the Spencer Funeral Home 112 Main St. East Hampton on Thursday Nov. 30th from 6:00PM until 8:00PM. There will be a Masonic service at 7:30PM with his brothers from the Anchor Lodge. A Funeral Liturgy will be held Friday Dec. 1st at 11:00AM in St. Patrick Church in East Hampton.
